Real laser weapons are no longer science fiction. According to The Atlantic, militaries around the world are now deploying actual laser systems in combat operations.
“This is a technology that has been under development for decades,” said Iain Boyd, aerospace engineer and director of the University of Colorado Boulder Center for National Security Initiatives.
The deployment marks a turning point in military technology, with laser systems offering precision, speed-of-light targeting, and lower operational costs compared to traditional munitions.
